Domus Residence is located along Myslym Shyri street in an important urban area of ​​the city of Tirana, which is one of the oldest and most popular streets of the city. The object is treated in an angular shape, where the main orientation is from the southern side, which follows the construction line of Myslym Shyri street. In the inner part, a courtyard is created in function of the residents, oriented from the west, in which the low heights of the buildings in front allow sunshine throughout the day. The main entrance to the object from the pedestrians is through the inner courtyard. Considering the characteristics of an area with a low building height, the object has been treated with stairs along the east and west direction so that its experience in the area is as natural as possible. The stairs of the building on the western side create several terraces which have increased in surface to be used by the apartments. These green verandas have sunlight throughout the day and are accessed directly by the living area of the apartment. Being an area where there are constant problems with parking, it is thought that the building will be developed in 3 underground floors, enabling parking not only for its residents but also for external visitors. The maximum height of the building is 9 floors, the height is being scaled up to a total of 37 m. The object is characterized by the height outside the standard used in Tirana, reaching 3.4m for the residential floors. This has been a bit limiting in the selection of the facade as we wanted to use panels with dimensions as large as the height of the floor and with different modular widths along the facade and at the same time to have contained costs. Being an area where there are constant problems with parking, it is thought that the building will be developed in 3 underground floors, enabling parking not only for its residents but also for external visitors.
